The call started with photos from the customer: a brown mark on light, cut-pile carpet beside a low bookshelf, back again after a store-bought product had been used on it. Stains that reappear usually mean something is still sitting in the backing and wicking up as the fibers dry, so the plan was a reclean of that spot rather than another surface pass. Along with it, the homeowner wanted the full carpeted area, up to 800 square feet, and six dining chairs handled in the same visit.

We asked for an early start and worked the stain first, giving the treatment time to dwell before the rest of the floor was cleaned. The carpet was cleaned with truck-mounted hot water extraction, rinsing the treated area thoroughly so less residue was left behind to draw soil back to the surface. In the after photo the carpet beside the bookshelf reads evenly light across the whole section, with no brown showing through.

The six dining chairs were cleaned with hot water extraction, checked against the fabric code first so the upholstery got a method its fibers could take. We were on site about four hours in total, including the chairs and the extra attention the stained area needed. The visit came to $480. Carpet dries in 2-4 hours with air movers and up to 6 hours for heavy soil; upholstery takes 4-8 hours.
