The carpet running through the room carried a large octagon-and-diamond pattern in tan and rust, the kind of dense loop that hides traffic until you look straight down at it. Dulling showed across the open floor where foot traffic crossed the room, and the pattern had flattened into the background. The request was straightforward: one room of commercial carpet, cleaned in a single visit, with access from the back of the building where the truck could be parked close to the work.

We ran hoses from the rear entrance and cleaned the carpet with truck-mounted hot water extraction, working the room in sections and keeping passes overlapping so the pattern cleaned evenly from edge to edge. The before and after frames show the same stretch of floor: the tan ground between the octagons reads clearer in the second shot, and the rust in the pattern comes back up. Total time on site was about 2.5 hours, and the visit came to $600.

Commercial carpet in a room this size dries in 2-4 hours with air movers, and up to 6 hours where soil is heavy, so the floor can go back into use the same day in most cases. Before leaving we walked the room with the customer to check the traffic lanes and the edges along the wainscot.
