The floor was a broadloom commercial carpet in teal, navy and tan, running from the terrazzo edge back under seating and tables across 2,250 square feet. Traffic had flattened and greyed the pattern in the busiest lanes, and coffee had gone down in enough places that the spots showed even against a busy print. The customer wanted the whole area cleaned in one visit rather than spot-treated, and asked that we start at 10am so the space would be usable again the same day.

Two technicians worked the job with truck-mounted equipment, moving along the room in sections so each pass pulled soil out rather than pushing it around. Commercial carpet here was cleaned by truck-mounted hot water extraction, with the coffee spills worked individually before the general cleaning passes. Some of those coffee marks had been in the fiber too long and are permanent; we treated them and got what we could out of the pile, but we told the customer plainly which ones would stay visible.

Edges along the dark metal trim and the terrazzo border were cleaned in by hand so the finished carpet met the hard floor cleanly. The crew was on site about three hours, and the visit came to $800 for the 2,250 square feet. Carpet dries in 2-4 hours with air movers, up to 6 hours for heavy soil, so the customer could plan the rest of the day around it. With the pile rinsed and groomed, the plaid and brushstroke pattern reads clearly again through the middle of the floor.
